 THIS IS NOT A COMET!

The recent discovery of a new comet has the astronamy world mystified.

C. St. Cyr, Naval Research Laboratory, on behalf of the SOHO-LASCO Consortium (cf. IAUC 6685), reports the discovery by S. Stezelberger of a bright comet in the northwestern corner of the field of view of the C3 coronagraph, some 8 deg from the sun:

1998 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. May 3.779 2 10.2 +19 35 "Estimated by St. Cyr at mag 0 and possibly brighter"

But there is no comet in this picture?

SOME OF THE MOST FASCINATING PICTURES YOU WILL EVER SEE!

The image in question is the object to the left. As you can see it has a real shape to it.

At this time I am not sure what we are seeing.

There was a lot of confusion at first site. There was supposed to be a comet in this picture, but that isn't what I found. The object, not knowing exactly what object they are referring to was called Saturn, Mars, and so on. Since then I am told from SOHO that it is a glitch on the CCD camera. Other reports say it is a new planet. I have no idea what it really is, but it sure looks like an Alien ship of sorts.

Could it be Saturn?

No, LASCO says that it is Mars? Why isn't the comet in this photo?

There is a mystery surrounding this whole comet issue.

HELLO ....

DO I LOOK LIKE MARS OR ANY OTHER PLANET TO YOU?

Hopefully NASA will be able to clear this up and tell us just what this object is.

Here is a real close up. Pretty exciting to look at regardless of what it is.

As you can see this object has real shape and definition!

Notice all the different sections to it!

It is rather astonishing that we can see things so far away, and so close to the sun.

Here is a nice erie shot. This has to be my favorite shot of the Sun Cruiser!

I think we are in for a big surprise.

1. Either NASA doesn't look at their own films.

2. Or, they have seen this and they are keeping it a secret.

3. Or, someone must think we are all stupid into thinking this is Saturn, or Mars!

Looks like a Klingon War Ship to me!

It certainly does have an unusual shape.

This is not a comet, planet, or Saturn as we have been told.

In fact I have never seen anything like this before!

But, oh my! What big wings you have!
