MARS

NORTH POLE

This is a photograph of the Mars North Pole.

From just looking at this picture you can see how the ice has flowed.

This is a great picture, but in their process to bring you clear photos some pictures ( or parts of it! ) can't be enhanced very well.

In the photos below I will give you an example.

As in the Mars South Pole enhancement that I did you can also see this as well.

SOUTH POLE PICTURES

What makes that picture unique is that the shapes within the area are very unusual as you can see in the picture above.

In this example you can clearly see what I mean.

See all the little squares. That is due to a sharpening filter.

Often people will get side tracked into thinking they are seeing true structures when in actuality you are not.

Not all the NASA pictures turn out this way.

For me it is very disappointing.

Notice in this shot the area across the bottom half.

This section is completely sharpened then looks blurred.

This is the way the original photograph looks untouched by me.

Why?

Is something being hidden?

Let's explore another area.

This is at the bottom more towards the right.

A rather interesting area.

As you can see the formations in this picture are fascinating.

There appears to be a large square shape near the top mid area.

Hard to say what those shapes are that run just to the left of it.

From this view we can see some depth surrounding the formations.

I know it is difficult to see sometimes, but give your eyes a chance to focus.

It is hard to describe what we are seeing here.

The area reminds me of landslides.
